He obtained his MFA, Master's of Fine Art, at Alfred University in 1937 and was Instructor of Industrial Design 1949-1951, and Instructor in Pottery 1951-1956. Randy was nationally known for his paintings and ceramics, named the nation's CERAMIC ARTIST OF THE YEAR IN 1949 BY NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE.
