A fine and impressive antique Dutch 833 standard silver teapot; an addition to our silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Dutch silver teapot has an oval, rounded form. The surface of this Dutch teapot is embellished with a band of embossed fluted decoration to the lower portion, in addition to a band of applied thread decoration to the concaved arched shoulders. This impressive teapot is fitted with the original plain concave push fit hallmarked cover. The cover is surmounted with the original pear wood and silver ball shaped finial, accented with a carved ribbed design; the finial secures to the interior with a screw fitment. The teapot retains the original carved pear wood C-shaped handle, with an impressive scrolling upper socket. This Fine teapot is fitted with a swan necked spout, ornamented to the underside with further fluted decoration. The Dutch hallmarks struck to the underside of the teapot include: Maker's mark: CP (untraced) Silver quality/purity mark: Lion Passant mark with 2nd standard purity (.833, 833/1000) Duty mark: Minerva head Date letter: U (1829) Condition This antique Dutch teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. The Dutch hallmarks struck to the underside of the foot and interior of the cover are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian Dutch sterling silver bachelor teapot; an addition to our silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver bachelor teapot has a circular cushion shaped form onto four feet. The surface of the teapot is embellished with chased, large interlacing leaf motifs on a textured background; the leaf designs eminate from a plain starburst motif to the underside. The decoration to the body incorporates four cartouches, each displaying a simplified Dutch style rural architectural scene. The upper portion of the body is ornamented with a band of chased ribbed decoration below the plain swept shoulders. This antique teapot is fitted with a hallmarked, domed hinged cover encircled with a scalloped border and surmounted with an impressive and original floral and foliate finial. An exceptional, fine and impressive, large antique American silver teapot; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique American silver teapot has a plain panelled octagonal form with swept shoulders. The upper and lower rims of the body of the teapot is encompassed with a bright cut engraved alternating stylised leaf and chevron decorated border. Either side of the teapot is embellished with a shaped oval cartouche, each encompassed with an applied, graduating stylised floral bud border accented with a ribbon bow to the upper portion. One cartouche displays the contemporary bright cut engraved initial ‘K’ and the other remains vacant. The body of the teapot is further ornamented with single paralleling pin struck borders to each panel. The swept, panelled shoulders are embellished with a moulded reed decorated border to the rim. This American silver teapot retains the original hinged domed panelled cover surmounted with the original and impressive silver acorn style finial.
