About the Item

Elegant, festive silver vessel with a boat-shaped body with capped points standing on small feet, the vertical wall with openwork decoration resembling a railing with leaf and flower festoons on a smooth, slightly recessed lower rim, large arched, slightly curved panels at the centre front and back, framed by a surrounding garland of leaves and flowers, each standing on two tapering feet, stepped upper edge, two raised handles on the sides, angularly stepped on the outside and divided at the upper connection. Matching glass insert with the upper edge adapted to the course of the vessel and incised steinel and fan decoration on the rim protruding from the silver vessel, as well as a large, cut bottom-star. Hallmarks: - Crescent + Crown - German official hallmark from 1888 - 800 - fineness - Screw press - Manufacture brand for M. H.
