An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver spirit kettle on stand; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection This exceptional antique George V sterling silver spirit kettle has a tapering oil can shaped form, in the Classic Victorian style. The upper portion of this silver spirit kettle is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved stylized leaf designs accented with suspended fruit and floral baskets incorporating leaf sprays. Each basket is flanked with a bright cut engraved swallow style bird design and is conjoined with swag decoration, incorporating a vacant oval cartouche to either side. The lower portion of the body is encompassed with an bright cut engraved interlacing back accented with tri-lozenge shaped motifs. The upper rim of the kettle is embellished with applied bead decorated border. This antique silver spirit kettle on stand is fitted with a flush hinged hallmarked cover encircled with a further bright cut engraved stylized leaf border; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is surmounted with the original sterling silver topped fluted oval finial, securing to the interior with a wing nut. This fine example of antique teaware is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver handle ornamented with impressive bright cut engraved leaf decoration, in addition to impressive leaf decorated sockets in junction with the body. The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand, supported by four impressive cast scrolling legs, each terminating with a lobed leaf style foot. The stand is further encompassed with an applied bead decorated border to the rim. The stand incorporates a plain scrolling frame which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner. The spirit kettle stand is fitted with the original chains and hallmarked security pegs. Condition This antique George V silver spirit kettle is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition in keeping with age. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the kettle, in addition to the part hallmarks to the spirit burner, Stand, security pegs and interior of the kettle cover are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver spirit kettle; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a melon shaped, incurved paneled form. Each segment of the paneled body is embellished with impressive alternating flat engraved designs incorporating quatrefoil motifs accented with bordered leaf ornamentation and a trellis pattern, all encompassed with a matte texture. The upper portion of the body is encircled with a flat engraved undulating border with applied moulded decoration to the scalloped rim. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the exceptional and original hallmarked sterling silver gourd shaped finial, securing to the interior with a wing nut. This fine example of Victorian teaware is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver scrolling handle ornamented with impressive cast S-scroll, leaf decorated terminals accented with large scrolling leaf decorated sockets in junction with the body. This solid silver kettle has a plain paneled swan necked spout with an impressive scalloped shaped socket accented with a paralleling border. This exceptional kettle detaches from the original hallmarked cast sterling silver Stand, supported by four impressive cast scrolling legs accented with further applied leaf ornamentation. The upper portion of the stand is encircled with impressive cast scrolling leaf ornamentation with a central floral design. The stand incorporates a plain scrolling frame which retains the original spirit burner, reflecting the identical paneled form to the body and cover. This magnificent and impressive antique Georgian sterling silver spirit kettle has a circular rounded form. The surface of the Georgian silver kettle is plain and embellished with a contemporary engraved coat of arms encompassed with a scrolling leaf decorated border/cartouche. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a plain flush hinged hallmarked cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is surmounted with the original carved stained wood and sterling silver topped button style finial. This exceptional example of antique silver tea ware is fitted with the original hinged hand piece overlaid with interwoven wicker, strategically interlaced to produce a segmented braided design. The cast handle is further ornamented with scrolling decoration, in addition to substantial leaf sockets in junction with the body. The kettle is fitted with an impressive cast spout, accented with a scrolling design to the tip of the lip, in addition to moulded decoration to the lower portion.
