About the Item

Guilloché Enamel Frame by Renato Salimbeni Oval shaped external photo frame in gold-plated 925/1000 sterling silver with translucent fired enamels on guilloché and floral miniatures hand-painted by the painter Romano Boccioni. Viennese Art Nouveau style, second half of the 19th century. Blue alcantara panel, external measurements 15 x 21.5 cm, internal oval 11 x 16 cm. Weight 294 g. Designed by Renato Salimbeni in 1961, inspired by previous products by the Salimbeni company, and manufactured in Florence with manual workmanship by skilled artisans with a very thick sheet and large reinforcements suitable for withstanding numerous enamel firings at high temperatures at around 800° C Condition: Excellent. This frame transcends its function as a photo display. It is a collectible piece of decorative art—a direct link to the innovative spirit of 1960s Italian design and the legendary Salimbeni workshop. Perfect for the discerning collector seeking a touch of understated, archival luxury. It is new item never used but considering vintage.
