About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of vintage George VI English sterling silver coasters; an addition to our range of collectable silverware These exceptional vintage sterling silver coasters have a circular rounded shaped form. The body of each George VI coaster is plain and unembellished with a shaped upper rim ornamented with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border accented with alternating Regency style leaf designs. These silver bottle coasters retain the original turned stained oakwood bases. These coasters are fitted with green baize to the underside. The lower rim of each coaster bears the retailer's mark/icon (Aladdin's lamp) of James Dixon and registration number '1406'. Condition These vintage sterling silver coasters are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each coaster has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The applied decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks to the anterior surface of each coaster are all very clear.
