A small Austrian 800 silver tray made in Vienna in the 1920s. This elegant silver tray has a rectangular central surface surrounded by a softly scalloped, lobed border, giving the piece a refined decorative form while keeping the design restrained and practical. The tray is made of 800 silver and represents the type of early 20th-century Viennese silver tableware that was used both for serving and for decorative presentation. The shape is especially attractive because of the contrast between the smooth flat center and the raised shaped border.
