A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver spirit tea kettle made in the Queen Anne style; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection This impressive antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle on Stand has a plain oval rounded form. The lower portion of the body is embellished with fine and impressive fluted decoration, in the Queen Anne style. This antique tea kettle is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover, which also features fluted decoration and retains the original and impressive carved painted wood and sterling silver urn style finial. This fine example of antique teaware is fitted with an impressive plain angular handle to either side of the central original carved painted wood handpiece. The antique tea kettle is fitted with an impressive spout, ornamented to the underside with embossed fluted decoration. The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand supported by four impressive fluted decorated legs accented with a simplified leaf motif to each terminal. The stand incorporates a plain frame which retains the original detachable spirit burner, ornamented with further fluted decoration and incorporating a hallmarked hinged snuffer. The kettle Stand is fitted with the original chains and hallmarked security pegs. The underside of the kettle bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company LTD, 112 Regent Street. W'. Condition This antique spirit kettle on Stand is a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality for its type and in exceptional presentation condition. The interior of the kettle has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the kettle and stand, in addition to the part hallmarks to the cover, spirit burner and pegs are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver spirit kettle; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a melon shaped, incurved paneled form. Each segment of the paneled body is embellished with impressive alternating flat engraved designs incorporating quatrefoil motifs accented with bordered leaf ornamentation and a trellis pattern, all encompassed with a matte texture. The upper portion of the body is encircled with a flat engraved undulating border with applied moulded decoration to the scalloped rim. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the exceptional and original hallmarked sterling silver gourd shaped finial, securing to the interior with a wing nut. This fine example of Victorian teaware is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver scrolling handle ornamented with impressive cast S-scroll, leaf decorated terminals accented with large scrolling leaf decorated sockets in junction with the body. This solid silver kettle has a plain paneled swan necked spout with an impressive scalloped shaped socket accented with a paralleling border. This exceptional kettle detaches from the original hallmarked cast sterling silver Stand, supported by four impressive cast scrolling legs accented with further applied leaf ornamentation. The upper portion of the stand is encircled with impressive cast scrolling leaf ornamentation with a central floral design.
