About the Item

Chinese porcelain. Two lidded tea cups with strainers, c. 1970s/80s. Cylindrical porcelain cups with handles, each with a lid and removable strainer. One decorated on a yellow ground with polychrome enamels and Chinese characters, the other in underglaze blue with a fish motif and calligraphy. Origin: China. Material: Porcelain. Dimensions: H. 14–15 cm, D. 12 cm including handle. Period: c. 1970s/80s. Condition: Very good condition, minor signs of use. Chinese tea cups with built-in strainers and lids became especially widespread in the second half of the 20th century, when they were mass-produced for household use. They combine functionality with decorative traditions, often featuring colorful overglaze enamels or classic blue-and-white designs. This type of cup continues to be used in Chinese tea culture and today serves as a collectible reflecting the design language of its time.
