Rare large Zacatecas seated Figure Pre-Columbian, West Mexico ca. 200 BCE – 300 CE A striking large terracotta figure from the Zacatecas culture, depicting a standing female with hands on hips and bold body decoration. Painted wave motifs across the torso suggest ritual or symbolic meaning, while the pierced facial features and strong stance imply status or spiritual role. Material: Painted terracotta Height: 41.5 cm Condition:  good with minor age-related wear, head and legs reattached Powerful and rare example of early West Mexican ceramic sculpture. UK collection   late Eldred Trewvella acquired before 1970
