About the Item

Handmade tabletop carnival game modeled after the classic "high striker" strength tester, constructed from wood with a tall vertical scoring tower and spring-loaded plunger mechanism. The player figure, carved and painted in a crouched stance, raises a small mallet overhead to strike the plunger, sending an internal block upward along the graduated scale inside the glass-front tower. The housing is built with nailed plank construction and retains its original painted finish in blue and orange, with visible numbering along the interior scale indicating scoring increments. The carved figure shows hand-shaped features and painted clothing, with expressive wear adding to its character. The internal striker block moves when the plunger is depressed, demonstrating the intended function, though simplified compared to full-size carnival examples. Character: 6" W x 8.5" D x 9" H
