About the Item

19th Century circa 1870's Anishinaabe loom beaded bandolier bag with pocket. Beaded using a palette of soft colors to create a floral design on strap and bag. Beading features geometric florals in colors of blue, pink, orange and yellow on bag, with brightly colored florals with yellow base on strap. With red velveteen and silk ribbon accents. A stunning piece with great patina and of a high quality. Would display nicely in a Southwestern style home or handmade indigenous beadwork collection.
