About the Item

From Native America comes this unique ancient hand carved granite stone head head effigy, attributed to the Yokuts People. It was collected on a private ranch in 1960 coming from the Tulare Lake Basin of the San Joaquin Valley, Kettleman City, California. The effigy carved from a boulder in the round with the flattened nose caused from damage from an agricultural plow blade. Provenance: old California collection Dimensions: 12 inches tall on custom display Stand and 7 inches diameter All human effigy carvings from America's past are scarce and some consider most desirable.
