About the Item

Postage Stamp quilt with a wide variety of late 19th century fabrics. The two borders have the latest fabrics, dating to the date to 1880's or 90's. Alternating the printed blocks with white ones gives the overall pattern a nice twinkle. It is in excellent, unwashed condition. The borders are quilted in a chevron pattern and the body of the quilt with diamonds. The back is plain muslin. Measurements are 70" x 79". Walkersville, Maryland (Frederick County) origin.
