About the Item

Mid Century Modern bamboo and wicker woven pendant lamp or chandelier features trapezoid structure of burnt or tortoiseshell bamboo with geometric rattan weave forming the sides of the pendant; the weave pattern introduces strong Chinoiserie influence, as interpreted in Chippendale style furniture and lighting. The light bulb is encased in spherical milk glass diffuser, providing soft, ambient glow light and showcasing the sculptural shape of the lamp. The lamp can be used without hard wiring; it is equipped with a long chain for hanging with the power cord threaded through it, making it possible to adjust the height of the lamp by simply handing it by a different chain link. Bronze color of the chain and lamp fixtures and beige color of the cord coordinate with the natural, organic beige and brown colors of the burnt bamboo and rattan, creating a cohesive color palette. The cord is fitted with 2 switches, making it easy and convenient to turn the lamp on and off. The lamp is in fully operational, very good vintage condition. Classic, timeless design of the lamp will make it a perfect addition to a wide range of interiors, from Traditional to Chinoiserie, Mid Century Modern, Transitional, Victorian, Collected, or Contemporary. Attached chain is approximately 8ft long with additional 2ft of wire. Plug is standard polarized US. Socket is standard E26 base. Spherical shade is secured by 3 knurled screws for easy bulb change. The height of the pendant is 11.75" .
