About the Item

A striking and highly decorative circular chandelier crafted in hand-forged wrought iron with a beautifully weathered verdigris patina. The openwork drum-form body is embellished with classical scrolling acanthus and foliate motifs in relief, lending the fixture an old-world European sensibility with touches of Spanish and French provincial influence. Suspended from elongated iron chain links, the chandelier features an elegant combination of sculptural elements, including hand-formed flower-form candle cups and scrolling wrought iron arms terminating in candle-style lights. At the center, additional floral bobeches create layered dimension and visual interest, giving the piece a romantic, garden-inspired character. The softly aged green and bronze-toned surface has developed a desirable timeworn patina, accentuating the hand-worked quality of the iron and adding depth and texture.
