About the Item

As alabaster lighting was the first application of electricity in Sweden at the very end of the 19th century and the early 20th century, the designs often reflected the decor of the owners. The deeply carved upper rim of grapes, leaves and vines in this piece, reflect this late nineteenth century aesthetic.
