About the Item

A most elegant pair of Italian 18th century Louis XVI Period Giltwood, Gilt Iron, Crystal and Glass chandeliers. Each stunning eight arm chandelier is centered at the bottom by a faceted Crystal ball below a Glass and Crystal spray ending with water drop Crystals. Above is the bottom Giltwood dome with a beaded design and acanthus leaves, which supports the eight scrolled Gilt Iron arms. Each arm is decorated with beaded Glass strands with Crystal stars and kite shaped hanging Crystals. The star like Crystals are below the circular saucers and candle cups. The arms are also joined by swaging beaded strands and a central star and water drop. Above are additional Glass sprays which surround the central Giltwood fut decorated by carved acanthus leaves. The sprays spread and end with more star like mounts and hanging Crystals. The fut leads to the top crown with a top Giltwood finial. Exquisite design and elegance throughout. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
