About the Item

Exceptional vintage pendant lamp from Czechoslovakia, dating from around 1970. The sculptural shade is formed from glossy orange glass and features a distinctive two-tiered silhouette, with a rounded lower body and tapered upper section. The vivid orange finish and bold geometric form are characteristic of the Space Age and Mid-Century Modern aesthetic of the period. The lamp has an especially striking presence despite its compact size and works beautifully as a focal point in both period and contemporary interiors. The suspension height is adjustable, allowing the lamp to be positioned according to the desired ceiling height or interior arrangement. The fixture combines orange glass with chrome-plated metal details. The piece is associated with Valašské Meziříčí, an important historic centre of Czech glassmaking and lighting production.
