Ferrerol Babin Polyshape Red Aluminium Table Lamp by Cassina SCULPTED GEOMETRIES The first project by Ferréol Babin for Cassina and the second chapter of the Patronage project, Polyshape echoes some concepts already introduced by the designer in unique works and art pieces – the composition of simple shapes, the balance of geometries – updating proportions and materials to create a lamp available in two sizes, table and floor, and three metal finishes. PRODUCTION YEAR 2025 Polyshape is the first project by Ferréol Babin for Cassina, artist and designer and new Patronage protégé, the company project whose objective is to cultivate young international talent, support culture, and develop creative ideas. Available both as a floor lamp and a table lamp, it is characterized by the composition of primary forms based on drawings the designer has already experimented with in some artistic productions and limited editions. Made of matte painted metal, this collection of lamps features an LED reading light – dimmable thanks to a sphere located on the base – and, in the floor lamp, also a diffused light source housed in the top of the lamp. While the designs and functional concepts have been precisely preserved, the models have been manufactured using evolved technology. This is also the company that has manufactured iconic pieces of contemporary design from the 50’s to the present day, ideated by some of the most important international designers. Today Cassina continues to look to the future of design with audacious, passionate curiosity and an open, holistic approach. It affirms its exclusive ability to furnish a home’s living and dining spaces completely and iconically with The Cassina Perspective: a concept, a philosophy, an informed, futuristic thought. A detailed, expansive horizon of combinations; when placed together, the products have an innovative soul and the modern icons create authentic, welcoming, personal atmospheres involved in a conversation dominated by a code of design excellence, formal sensitive awareness, solidity and cultural authority.
