About the Item

A playful nod, as the name suggests, to the world of cartoons, Mickey floor light is a Minimalist Contemporary Standing Lamp composed of two closely positioned glass spheres of different sizes. As an option, on request, the horsehair detail can contain a touch sensor, which allows the light to be switched on, off, and dimmed by simply touching it. This lamp has one LED light source in each glass globe housed inside the rod. The light gets out from the brass rod crossing over the hand blown glass, and through it is diffused softly. The direction of each light can be adjusted separately. The base is in Brass and contains the transformer. Mickey floor light is entirely Italian-made and is finished and assembled by hand in our studio in Italy. Is made-to-order and customizations are available. The brass is brushed with a wax coating to slow down the natural oxidation process, thus creating an alluring finish that ages gracefully over time. Lacquered finish available upon request. Led light type: Proprietary 24vcc led, two x 5 W, 2700k supply: 100-240v 50/60hz Light control: On/Off switch / Dimmable touch sensor upon request Materials: Machined brass, hand blown glass The Chemistry series grew out of an exploration of the forms and Proportions created by the Traditional hand blown glass techniques still used to produce Glass in Vicenza, Italy. Each piece entirely Italian-made and is finished and assembled by hand in our studio in Italy. Each piece is made-to-order. All brass finishes are unlacquered and hand-sealed with a light layer of wax. The finish is live and is intended to patina over time.
