Large sunburst ceiling light fixture in gold leaf gilt iron and frosted glass, France, 1930s-1940s Eye-catching french wrought gilt iron large sunburst flush mount or pendant with nails or spikes frame and glass lampshade. A highly decorative sunburst ceiling light fixture with frontal light difusser featuring iron spikes in two sizes as sun rays surrounding the central sphere and a neoclassical design with Art Deco accents in transition to Brutalist style. It has a terrific aged patina and original gold leaf gilding. The pointed iron spikes make this piece very sculptural. This stunning sunburst light fixture can be placed flush mounted or as a pendant hanging from a chain at the desired height. Newly wired.
