Beautiful 1930s industrial wall or ceiling lamp with a mirrored glass lampshade by Adolf Meyer for Zeiss Ikon with an adjustable shade. Made in Germany. With the original label on the shade. The shade is removable and adjustable. The frame and canopy are made of nickel-plated metal. The shade is adjustable. This allows the bulb position to be adjusted for different lighting conditions. The glass shade is in good condition with no damage, cracks, or chips. Naturally, slight signs of wear and patina. Completely normal for a 100-year-old lamp. The suspension, frame, and socket are original. One E27 socket. Suitable for all living areas and very decorative. 100% original condition and fully functional. All parts are present. Works with 220V and 110V. Rewired due to age. The wiring is in good condition and suitable for all countries. Adolf Meyer was a German architect. From 1919 to 1929, he worked as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus, where he taught draftsmanship and construction engineering. He was employed as a lighting designer at Zeiss Ikon from 1925 until his death in 1929. Zeiss Ikon was founded in Jena in 1925 and produced lighting for offices, homes, and public buildings. The company was particularly well-known for its mirrored glass lamps. Max. width: 28 cm 11.0" Shade diameter: 17 cm 6.7" Wall mount diameter: 11 cm 4.3"
