About the Item

It is simply impossible to talk about 20th century lighting design without mentioning Finland and the Finnish “masters of light”. By the 1950s, Finland had established itself as a force for innovation in design. The best qualities of Finnish light fixtures are their atmospheric glow and disciplined, functionalist design that is not short of subtle decorative elements, as this model “71020” wall lamp exemplifies. The elegant, sculptural wall lamp is a distinctive piece that showcases Finnish designer Mauri Almari’s artistic design language.
