About the Item

Accordion wall lamp features dark oak stained pine scissor mechanism that extend and retract smoothly. Original leather shade exhibits natural tan coloring with characteristic baseball-style lacing around all edges, creating distinctive geometric border detail. Wall mount includes toggle switch for operation. Scissor arm construction employs traditional pivot joint methodology common to European and American task lighting of the 1950s-60s. Dark oak staining on pine provides rich wood tones while baseball leather shade demonstrates period interest in sporting materials adapted for domestic use. Toggle switch represents standard electrical hardware of the era. Lightly refinished with new US plug and tested electrical components.
