Pair of Triangular Wall Lights, Italy, 1950s-1960s This pair of wall lights, designed and manufactured in Italy, circa 1950s-1960s, reflects the geometric clarity and material refinement that distinguished the most ambitious work of the Italian mid-century. Each fixture is constructed from a patinated brass frame forming an outward-projecting tetrahedron, its three exposed faces glazed in a single piece of thick smoke-tinted glass. The interplay between the amber glow of aged brass and the cool grey of the glass produces a layered luminous effect of considerable sophistication. Small brass tab fixings at each corner reinforce the structural logic while functioning as quiet ornamental accents. The precise manufacturer remains unattributed, though the combination of geometric form, smoked glass, and patinated brass places this work firmly within the Milanese modernist tradition, with affinities to the output of Fontana Arte and its contemporaries. Rewired for U.S. standards, each fixture accommodates 1x E26 bulb. We recommend using max. 40W bulb or LED equivalent. Priced and sold as a pair only.
