About the Item

A rare vintage Idman Model 70255 lamp, manufactured in Finland circa 1940. This early Scandinavian modern lighting piece features a distinctive sculptural form with a wide metal reflector shade, tapered body, and articulated angled arm. The lamp showcases the restrained functionalism characteristic of Finnish design from the mid-20th century, combining clean geometric lines with a practical adjustable structure. The original finish has developed a beautiful aged patina consistent with its period, adding to its authentic vintage character. Vintage condition with signs of age and use. The lamp displays surface wear and patina consistent with its age, including minor marks and finish variations. Please refer to photographs for details. Electrical components should be checked and serviced as needed before use. All parts are original, fantastic patina on tis one! This lamp is mafe from copper disk, inside of the lamp is painted white. The arm is tilted 45° and its made from 13,5mm/0.53 inch thick armored conduit. The wall socket is made from cast iron, the lamp socket is porcelain. This particular lamp needs to be totally rewired to match your local regulations.
