About the Item

Large wall lamp in black and red lacquered metal, France, 1950. In the tradition of designers such as Jacques Biny, Michel Buffet or Robert Mathieu, this architect's creation uses indirect light, reflected by a large bent sheet metal deflector and red lacquered. Design details are intentionally left unfinished, such as the flied rod fasteners or the top mounting nut. 60 cm high, 6 known and available copies. (Restoration file provided).
