EXQUISITE! HEIFETZ ABSTRACT, MODERN SCULPTED STEEL & BIRCH TABLE LAMP! VERY RARE! CLEAN ALL ORIGINAL! Dimensions: 25" Tall By 14" Wide 1950s Heifetz Sculptural Natural Birch and Black Steel Table Lamp! This lamp comes from the "Good Design" era of Heifetz Lamps. Fresh off the successes in a MOMA sponsored modern lighting competition, Heifetz produced a number of now iconic mid century modern lamps featuring Natural Birch, Oiled Oak and other woods, contrasted with black steel. The effect of this "nature meets the industrial age" look defined many of the finest Heifetz designs of this period. This lamp is a masterpiece and has its original cane shade in amazing condition for the vintage! The look is iconic mid century good design! The black steel conveys both the globe and the atom in its wire structure and uses negative space to great effect! One of the nicest Heifetz lamps of this period and it has aged beautifully. A must have acquisition for your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch or New Canaan estate!
