Located in Saint-Amans-des-Cots, FR

French Art Deco Table Lamp with Spelter Pelican, France, 1920s A delightful example of French Art Deco lighting, this charming table lamp, created in France during the 1920s, beautifully combines sculptural artistry with practical function. Featuring an elegantly modeled spelter pelican with expressive glass eyes, the lamp rests on a finely finished marble base, embodying the refined craftsmanship and playful elegance that characterize the finest French decorative arts of the early twentieth century. Its compact proportions make it an ideal bedside lamp, night-light, or decorative accent for sophisticated interiors. The lamp is fitted with an attractive double glass shade that gently diffuses the light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere while highlighting the finely detailed bird sculpture. The combination of marble, spelter, and glass reflects the luxurious materials favored during the Art Deco period, while the stylized pelican introduces a distinctive touch inspired by the fascination with nature and exotic wildlife that influenced many French designers of the era. Measuring 15 cm (5.9 in.) high, 23 cm (9.1 in.) wide, and 13.5 cm (5.3 in.) deep, this rare lamp remains in good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age, including small chips on the left rear edge that do not detract from its decorative appeal. Professionally rewired for international use, it is supplied ready for US, UK, EU, Australian, and other electrical standards, and is fully compatible with LED bulbs, ensuring reliable everyday use while preserving its authentic character. Both functional and highly collectible, this elegant pelican lamp...

By Charles Ranc, Daum

Located in Saint-Amans-des-Cots, FR

An exceptional French Art Deco table lamp created through the collaboration of Daum Nancy and Charles Ranc, France, circa 1915. Combining a magnificent acid-etched glass shade by Daum with an elegant solid bronze eagle base designed by Charles Ranc, this rare lamp beautifully illustrates the artistic transition from the late Art Nouveau period to the emerging Art Deco style. The finely modeled bronze eagle supports the authentic Daum glass shade with remarkable balance and sophistication. Its sculptural quality, rich bronze patina, and delicately crafted glass create an elegant composition that embodies the craftsmanship for which French decorative arts became internationally renowned during the early twentieth century. The shade is signed "Daum Nancy", bearing the factory signature used between 1910 and 1915, confirming its authenticity and historical importance. The lamp measures 14.2 inches high (36 cm), 8.7 inches wide (22 cm), and 4.1 inches deep (10.5 cm). The glass shade alone measures 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) in diameter, creating beautifully proportioned illumination while emphasizing the refined bronze sculpture beneath. Presented in excellent vintage condition, this lamp has been professionally rewired and will be delivered ready for use in your country, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and many other international destinations. It is fully compatible with modern LED bulbs, combining historic craftsmanship with contemporary practicality. Highly desirable among collectors of Daum Nancy lighting...
