An Art Deco Dutch ceramic table lamp made from a 1928 PZH Gouda Yozea vase, featuring Japonisme floral decoration in cobalt and teal, paired with a hand-woven silk sari ribbon lampshade. Professionally rewired with a new socket and fabric-wrapped cord; supplied with a US plug or adapted for international use. Height includes lampshade. This distinctive antique table lamp is crafted from an original Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH) Gouda ceramic vase dated 1928, decorated in the Yozea pattern. Produced during a period of peak creativity at the Gouda factories, the vase reflects the refined dialogue between Art Deco modernism and Japonisme, a recurring influence in Dutch decorative arts of the early 20th century. The lower portion of the vase is finished in a deep, saturated cobalt blue, transitioning smoothly into a softer dress-blue midsection that creates a sense of vertical movement and calm. Hand-painted floral motifs—suggestive of stylized fans or blossoms—are rendered in layered shades of teal, lending depth and rhythm to the surface. These are set against dark, branching forms that introduce contrast and structure, anchoring the composition with a naturalistic, almost calligraphic quality.
