Venice Ballooning is a journey of light and craftsmanship, uniting different Italian craftsmen, crossing the polychromatic quarry mountain in Crevoladossola, Piedmont, Italy, the only Palissandro quarry in the world. The Venetian Murano glass balloon reaches Venice lagoon where it meets the masters on the island of Murano, to slowly lean on Homo Faber at Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice and tell the world about journey of Italian beauty. Once lit, the Venetian balloon becomes a splendid full moon, crossed by delicate clouds and telling the world its journey of light and life. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. If sold to the USA it will be wired for the USA for instance. Aina Kari After working for different world-renowned brands in Italy and abroad, Marina Cighir embarked on a new project for the greater good, back in her beloved Treviso, next to Venice. An honest relationship with local artisans, Marina masterfully combines her diverse heritage to create a distinct and empowering style characterized by coherence, strength, and originality. ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW Her sculptural vases, decor lightings, and chandeliers are notable for their unexpected visual paradoxes, seamlessly blending Venetian artisanal expertise with contemporary poetry. This unique fusion results in pieces that are both timeless and modern, reflecting a deep appreciation for the past and the craftsmanship-rich-rich Italy while embracing the creativity of the present. SLOW DESIGN Developing new artifacts is not based on “just propose a newness for the sake of newness”, but only if linked to a project, a useful sharable collaboration with people and community. Each material requires distinct know-how, the final object is always a crossroads of workshops. Curved-blown glass, provocative marble stones, and “tamed” brass lose their natural hardness to become decorative objects.
