Black Exo Lamp by Abid Javed Dimensions: W 20 x 32 H cm (Dimensions are variable) Materials: Stoneware ceramic, Brass. Multiple clay color and size options. Coiled hollow form with a non-glazed ceramic surface. Bulb optional. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. If sold to the USA it will be wired for the USA for instance. Shaded lamp base - adopted from Pleomorph form undergoing exocytosis inside a cell. Abid Javed is a ceramic artist, creating collectible ‘molecular objects’, using clay. With a background in Molecular Biology, the collections bring in the unseen world to the forefront. Subject matters explored include cells-molecules, together with Arabic script and geometry. All objects are hand-built, encompassing pinch, coil, and slab methods. Working in a range of clay, each piece is carefully crafted to bring a piece alive - emphasis on form and the clay-body. Therefore, each piece is a labor of love. The exploration continues through a series of sculptures and vessels.
