About the Item

Compatible with US/EU standards. LED compatible. Mid-Century Modern and Space Age style table lamps, Italy, 1970s. Each piece is composed of a sculptural rationalist style base made of turned veined pine wood with varnished and satin black painted finshes. The upper lampshade is made of a metal frame covered with Cocoon resin and a matching varnished pine wood ring. Collectible item. Timeless pieces. French Riviera, Brutalist, Palm Beach Regency, Scandinavian, Cubist, Memphis, Post-Modern, Nordic, Danish and Safari style. Very much in the style of Estiluz’s Spanish creations, which used the Cocoon resin in some of its designs during the 60s and 70s. Very much in the style also of Castiglioni’s designs, which became very popular in all of the interiors of those decades, and still today is, of George Nelson and Isamu Noguchi, and of Friedel Wauer's designs for Goldkant Luchten. For one E14 light bulbs each piece. Electrical installation renewed and fully operational. LED compatible. Very good vintage condition, with little varnish stains on the pine wood bases (see last photo). The black parts have been repainted. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
