About the Item

Rare Mid-century Danish table lamp from the acknowledged stoneware manufacturer Søholm. Made circa 1960s. The lamp has a shiny glaze in deep blue, brown and beige colors. The body of the lamp shows a repeated pattern which seems to be inspired by fish scales. Lovely tactile surface. The lamp is fully marked on bottom: Søholm Stentøj Bornholm Denmark. Incised by hand "SH" or "SM" which most likely refers to the designer. It could be Svend Hermansen. As it doesn´t show a model number it could be a unique piece or a piece only made in a very small quantity. Included is a new lamp shade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and the color is off white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. The lamp is in very good vintage condition. Measurements: Height with lampshade as shown in images: 48,5 cm (19.09") (height can be adjusted) Height without socket (ceramic part only): 26 cm (10.24") Diameter base: 12,5 cm (4.92") Diameter with lampshade: 28 cm (11.02") Light bulb: For type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting. The lamp is made for Scandinavian outlet. If you use other plugs in your country you can either use an adapter or exchange it with a plug used in your country.
