About the Item

A very special and unique lamp. Large, clear glass table lamp with brass Etruscan horses on the top of lamp Finial to the set of four around the upper part of the glass base. In the iconic style of Fredrick Weinberg. Square lucite base. It came from a very upscale, designer done to the nines Country Club estate in Indian Wells, CA. Original lampshade included. Unique as it is made in metal, with hand done modern white finish. (See pics for amazing detail) A "Weinberg Etruscan horse" refers to a bronze or brass sculpture of a horse in an Etruscan style, created in the mid-20th century in the manner of the designer Frederick Weinberg. These modernist pieces, often characterized by their minimalist design, detailed etchings, and elongated forms, are inspired by ancient Etruscan art and were popular mid-century decorative items Etruscan Horse: An "Etruscan horse" is not a specific breed, but rather refers to horses as represented in ancient Etruscan culture, where they were a powerful symbol of strength, wealth, status, and nobility. These representations can be found in art, like the famous winged horses from Tarquinia, and in archaeological finds, such as chariot equipment and horse bits, highlighting their importance in military, leisure, and funerary contexts.
