About the Item

The base of this table lamp is built from stacked square metal cubes in alternating polished chrome and brushed metal finishes. The cubes decrease in size toward the top, creating a sculptural vertical form. The intentional contrast between the reflective and matte metal surfaces adds visual texture without ornamentation. Stacked cube lamp bases gained wide popularity during the late 1960s and into the 1970s, particularly among Italian and European manufacturers producing modernist lighting. The geometric cube form aligned with the broader design interest in pure geometric shapes that characterized that era's output, from furniture to decorative objects.
