About the Item

Elegant and highly atmospheric Italian table lamp, dating to around 1950, executed with a rounded Murano glass base in a vibrant orange-red tone, vertically accented with soft satin striping. The richly colored glass is paired with a finely pleated shade and subtly aged metal fittings, resulting in a composition that is both sculptural and warmly decorative. A particularly desirable feature of this lamp is its three light settings, allowing it to be used in different ways according to mood and setting: the base and shade can be illuminated together, the Murano glass base can be lit independently, or the shade alone can be used. This versatility enhances the lamp’s character as both a functional light source and a decorative object. When illuminated, the lamp emits a soft, intimate glow, with the glass base adding a beautiful layer of warmth and depth.
