Bone, at full volume. Selene is a large, hand-thrown ceramic table lamp with a full, near-spherical body and barely any taper at the shoulder, sitting low and wide, finished in a soft Bone matte glaze. The silhouette is rounded and generous, low-slung rather than tall, giving this large ceramic table lamp a calm, grounded presence rather than height or drama. This ceramic lamp base is entirely handmade in our London studio — thrown, glazed and finished by hand, with natural variation in tone and texture across every piece. No two pieces are ever quite identical. This large ceramic table lamp measures 40cm tall by 36cm wide (15.75in H x 14.2in W), making it substantial enough to anchor a console table, sideboard, entryway table, or large bedside table. Its soft, neutral Bone matte glaze and full, rounded silhouette make it especially versatile — well suited to English country house interiors, farmhouse and cottage-style rooms, and calm, considered, collected interiors looking for a soft, grounding tone rather than a bold pop of colour. This is a lamp base only; the lampshade is sold separately. Pictured here styled with a 45cm pleated shade, though the base pairs beautifully with a range of shade sizes and shapes depending on the room and the desired scale. Each lamp is made to order in our London studio, hand-thrown and hand-glazed to specification, with a six-to-eight week lead time from order to delivery.
