About the Item

Cornflower blue and white rare vintage Lladró ceramic table lamp with raised floral relief and a new navy blue, taupe, and champagne embroidered lampshade made from a vintage silk sari by Amitābha Studio. The hand-made Lladró base, marked “Lladró – Hand Made in Spain” to the underside, is crafted in glossy white porcelain with soft cornflower-blue relief flowers marching around the rounded body. Each four-petal blossom is slightly raised, linked by fine taupe stems, giving the lamp subtle texture and depth. The neck is elegantly fluted and banded in blue, keeping the profile light and refined while still reading as a classic blue and white ceramic lamp. Crowning the porcelain is a new drum shade made from vintage sari silk. The deep navy ground is densely patterned with stylized floral sprays in warm golds, taupes and soft greys, with delicate sequins that quietly catch the light. The pattern repeats all the way around the shade, so the lamp is beautiful from every angle—perfect on a console, bedside table or writing desk where it will be seen in the round. Amitābha Studio has fully updated the lamp with new wiring and a coordinating blue-and-white braided fabric cord, ready for contemporary use while preserving the character of the vintage Lladró base. This Lladró blue and white porcelain lamp with sari silk shade brings together Spanish porcelain craft and Indian textile heritage—a luxurious, globally minded piece for collectors who value both provenance and originality. Key Details • Vintage Lladró porcelain base, marked and hand made in Spain • Lampshade, wiring and cord are all new. • Fully wired for use in the U.S. • Listed height includes the lampshade. A sculptural Lladró ceramic lamp like this works effortlessly in eclectic, coastal, bohemian, maximalist or global-modern interiors, adding both soft light and serious design credibility. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us! About Lladró Founded in 1953 by brothers Juan, José and Vicente Lladró near Valencia, Spain, Lladró is renowned for its finely detailed porcelain sculpture and lighting. Each piece is hand-crafted and hand-finished in the company’s Spanish workshops, where modellers and painters work through a meticulous, largely artisanal process from original sketch to final firing. Known for luminous glazes, soft colour palettes and romantic, often floral motifs, Lladró has become one of the most collected names in European porcelain, with vintage examples especially prized for their craftsmanship and character. About Amitābha Studio: Amitābha Studio is a design atelier dedicated to transforming historic ceramics into one-of-a-kind lighting objects. Each lamp is crafted with deep reverence for the original form, using non-invasive methods that preserve the integrity of every antique or vintage vase. We pair these bases with bespoke lampshades—often made from luxurious textiles such as vintage sari silks or fine European fabrics—and finish each piece with carefully selected cords, fittings, and handmade brass elements. Our work is guided by a commitment to sustainability, cultural heritage, and timeless design.

Located in Sitges, Barcelona

This blue and white Chinoiserie ceramic table lamp features a vintage Dutch Delftware style vase with sculptural ribbing paired with a custom Chinoiserie lampshade, blending mid-century design with traditional Dutch ceramic heritage. The authentic Velsen pottery vase has been transformed into functional lighting that celebrates both Dutch and Asian decorative arts. The vase base displays distinctive vertical ribbing in white glaze characteristic of mid-20th century Dutch pottery. Its classic ginger jar silhouette exemplifies the Delfts Wit style—white glazed Delftware that developed alongside the more famous blue and white tradition. When illuminated, the smooth glaze creates beautiful ambient light diffusion. The new bespoke drum lampshade by Amitābha...

Dutch Delft Faience Blue and White Chinoiserie Baluster Vase Mounted as a Lamp

Located in Kittery Point, ME

Late 17th Century Dutch Delft Faience Blue and White Chinoiserie Baluster Vase Mounted as a Lamp and newly electrified. Decorated in imitation of a Chinese Ming vase with a sage, rocks and vegetation, mounted on a wood base. The dimensions noted include the lampshade and electrical fittings. The vase as mounted in wood is approximately 10in. high and 6in. diameter. The arrival in Western Europe of the first shiploads of Chinese porcelain, lacquerware, ivory and silk in the 17th century stimulated interest in China, or Cathay, as it was then called. These decorative arts inspired by China, which enjoyed their heyday in the late 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries, are known as chinoiserie. Soon after the introduction of expensive Chinese...
