About the Item

Multiplug light by Thomas Ballouhey, Crossover collection, the Netherlands, 2019. Nilufar edition. MDF, polystyrene, light switch, electric socket, LED light, wiring, acrylic resin. Measures: 35 x 40 x H 50 cm, 13.7 x 15.7 x 19.6 in. In the crossover series, common furniture serve as the base of the project. In the multiplug light, the light is used as foundations to introduce and combine other possibilities. A foundation for different uses that are joined together arbitrarily. A light, electric plugs and a wall switch coexist next to each other. Objects are overlapping with each other, and its function becomes overly specific. And while the uses are overly specific, the object itself become more abstract. In the end, this light is a functional collage of common household objects. Please note: Prices do not include VAT.
