About the Item

A vibrant and sculptural pair of double gourd table lamps designed by Eileen Kathryn Boyd for Mottega, executed in a bold, high-gloss yellow glaze. The elegantly elongated necks rise from rounded bases, creating a refined silhouette rooted in classical form yet distinctly modern in finish and scale. Mounted on square acrylic plinth bases, the lamps achieve a crisp, contemporary contrast that enhances their visual lightness and versatility. Retaining their original double sockets with pull chains and stamped “Mottega” hardware, the lamps are offered together with a pair of tailored off-white shades, which complement the saturated glaze and complete the presentation. As shown, the pairing delivers a strong decorative statement—equally suited to traditional, transitional, or modern interiors. Dimensions: Overall height (to top of finial): 36 in. Width (base): 8 in. Shades: Included (as shown) Condition: Good overall condition consistent with age and use. Ceramic bodies: attractive high-gloss finish with visible crazing and minor underglaze crackling inherent to the material and firing process. Metal hardware: light surface wear, oxidation, and pitting consistent with use. One finial: previously re-glued, stable. Acrylic bases: light scratches and minor edge wear visible under close inspection. Wiring: present and functional; sockets and pull chains intact. Shades: included, showing light wear consistent with use but present well. Overall, the lamps display beautifully and are ready for immediate use.
