Pair of gilt bronze mounted bisque figures after Boizot. Each inscribed ''Canova'' and modelled after ''L'etude'' and ''La Philosophie'' designed by Simon Louis Boizot (1743 - 1809 French), one depicting a male figure, the other a female, reading and seated atop oil lamps, mounted with gilt metal sockets and moulded glass shades on oval gilt bronze bases.
