Outstanding Mid-Century Modern Rembrandt table lamp with original shade. This is one of the best condition vintage lamps we’ve come across. It’s quite uncommon to find a metal lamp with so little oxidization after seven decades! The lamp shade is the cherry on the sundae. This shade is specific to the lamp. The fabric shade has a slight cerulean tint that matches the lamp’s teal enamel. Look beneath the shade to see a glass diffuser. The lamp is crowned with an decorative gold finial. The lamp itself is stunning. The brass lamp has beautiful gold color with teal enamel highlighting the etched channels. The graceful hour glass form is simply sublime. Rembrandt is one of the finest lighting producers of the period. This is truly a collector’s grade piece. An outstanding Mid-Century Modern table lamp by Rembrandt, this piece is remarkable both in its condition and its sculptural elegance. The body of the lamp combines shimmering gold metal with teal enamel applied over etched vertical channels, producing a rhythmic play of shadow and color. The hourglass form is graceful and balanced, tapering to a waist and then flaring gently at the base and top. Beneath the tapering shade lies a glass diffuser that softens the light and ensures a warm, ambient glow. The shade itself is original, its fabric softly tinted a cerulean that harmonizes with the lamp’s teal accents. At the apex sits a decorative gold finial, a final touch that underscores the lamp’s refined craftsmanship. More than seven decades old, the lamp shows only minimal signs of age: there are a few tiny blemishes on the base and slight wear in places, yet oxidation is remarkably scarce. The finish retains much of its original luster, as does the enamel detailing. The shade is in excellent condition, clean and sturdy, suggesting careful storage or use over its lifetime. The lamp is fully functional. This piece is a collector-grade example: a striking combination of color, form, and finish that speaks to mid-century design ideals. It works beautifully as a focal point on a credenza, console, or side table in a room that appreciates bold accents.
