About the Item

This striking table lamp was produced by the C.G. Hallberg company in the 1930s. The decorative design is characterized by the bell-shaped body in solid patinated brass. Circular base on which six curved components form a bell shape. The upper part of the body is made of by a sphere and column shape. The tall, cone shaped shade has been renewed in an ivory color and offers a pleasant and soft light distribution. The lamp is in very good original condition, brass with a natural, beautiful patina acquired over time. New shade and new fitting/wiring. Currently with a 220V European plug. C.G. Hallberg was a prominent Swedish goldsmiths and also a jeweler to the Swedish Court. Best known for its silverware and metalware, the central store was located at Drottninggatan 6 in Stockholm. Designers working for the company included Elis Bergh and Sylvia Stave About the Swedish Grace Style: In the 1920s a young and talented generation of designers looked back to classicism and their own Swedish traditions, and created a unique style characterized by timeless proportions, exceptional craftsmanship and playful details. Designers working in the Swedish Grace style include Axel Einar Hjorth, Carl Malmsten, Carl Bergsten, Gunnar Asplund and Uno Åhrén amongst others.
