About the Item

A striking sculptural yet small table lamp made from naturally shaped silver/ curly birch stump, Finland, circa 1940s. The form feels naturally shaped rather than made. An elegant, flowing shaft rising from an organic base. The lamp captures the organic movement of the original tree and adds a natural feel to any interior. The flame birch displays beautiful figuring throughout, with warm honey tones, expressive grain patterns, and natural inclusions that emphasize its unique character. A highly decorative yet small and functional object, equally suited as a statement table lamp or ambient accent light in contemporary or mid-century interiors. The shade is of a later date. The lamp is signed and dated.
