About the Item

Large decorative mirror. Composed of a wooden wall support on which is placed a round mirror underlined on the perimeter by a large circular band underlined by sun rays and a smaller band inside decorated with small circles positioned on the perimeter, the bottom is composed of gold leaves, see below the sheet on the technique: Eglomised glass is a process by which the back of a transparent piece is gilded with gold or silver leaf using a gelatinous glue. The result is a shimmering, slightly reflective surface that, when combined with reverse painting techniques, creates rich, shimmering and beautifully reflective works of art.
