The frame features a continuous surround composed of pierced giltwood rosettes and sculptural elements, alternating with deeply carved silver-leaf relief panels. The interplay of gold and silver surfaces creates a dynamic, almost architectural rhythm that gives the mirror both visual weight and luminous presence. Remnants of an original French import label remain affixed to the reverse. The inset mirror plate measures 33.5 inches wide × 45.5 inches high, with an overall frame dimension of 47.5 inches wide × 58.5 inches high, making it a commanding focal point suitable for grand interior spaces, from entry halls to sophisticated dressing rooms.
