About the Item

Elegant Mid-Century rattan and wicker umbrella stand, made in France circa the 1950s. Both functional and highly decorative, this piece is defined by its light, graphic vertical structure, characteristic of French and European natural-fiber furniture and accessories from the mid-20th century. The stand is constructed from several upright rattan supports connected by a succession of stacked circular rings. This open framework is designed to hold several umbrellas while maintaining an airy, balanced silhouette. The lower section features a woven wicker base, intended to receive the tips of the umbrellas and add both stability and practical functionality.
