Very fine antique Bidjar at 60% reduction- short term For those wanting a powerful detailed example of fine Persian weaving, here is an excellent, and highly affordable option. Bidjar are known as the “iron carpets “of Asia, dense, thick, and hard wearing almost beyond belief, owing to their hammering of the wefts during the hand made weaving process. Have a look at the intense detail within the central medallion, outer and inner field as well as the borders, and the sheer variety of natural dye colours and their subtlety --- the medallion in the centre is a rather rare aquamarine and look closely how this colour works with the rich eggplant and pinks within! A true gem which will last for several generations, at least. This is in excellent condition. For those with modern design schemes, it is remarkable how effective such carpets are in enlivening an otherwise simple duochrome design environment : they add a touch of refinement and surely a point of great interest. A very fine home adornment at a very low short term sale price .
